If you know about IM very well and pulling such traffic, you should not only rely on affiliate links to monetize your site. Unfortunately that is the mistake a lot of people makes. Let me give you a little hint on how to make money with your site: Apply to media networks for movie related banner placement on your site. You will be pulling some bucks every day if your site pass their evaluation. Good luck

Do what you love... the money / success will follow
If you love movies and enjoy reviewing them, keep doing it. Add affiliate links like Amazon to the movie review you are doing.
Do actor profiles, add links to their movies.
Submit your reviews to local papers - esp small newspapers - with your website links so they can see your quality. Maybe they will start publishing your reviews.
As your site gains rep advertisers will be happy to sign on to promote their project
Find any local, regional actors, up and comers - interview them, publish the interview. They will help promote your site. Any local movie theaters? Same idea
Get creative
Create a brand - yourself, and set up twitter, facebook pages and join the communities there and you will gain followers and rep.

youll always be better at doing something you love rather than doing something you think will see success. stick with what you enjoy because if you were to move into a different niche that means new research and a constant battle with urself to stay motivated. these hurdles and these obstacles u come across are nothing new, the experts have seen them and they have had doubts too.
most people fail because they came across an obstacle and decided not to push through it, jump over it or find a way around and so they thought they were defeated. you only lose when you quit.
