Have any of you ever bought a Instagram account that has a niche then tried to transition it into your personal account? If so how did it go? Were you able to retain the engagement of the audience? If this question has been asked before then please direct to the thread. Thanks.

I had an account that had 11k roughly and was in a niche that I have forgotten completely, but attempting to transition to a personal account completely failed. The engagement dropped off significantly, and so do the accounts followers. Atleast from my previous experience it is not worth doing what so ever and it leads to having/creating a dead account. If you want more popularity on your personal account I recommend posting regularly, doing SFS, using hashtags properly and promoting yourself on your niche accounts if possible. The child account method also works quite well for personal accounts, so does making fake fan-accounts and asking aesthetic accounts or fashion accounts, etc to repost pictures of you.

It depends on what you got to offer to your followers

Thanks for posting this, what I’m thinking of doing is transitioning an account that posts quotes/memes/skincare for women that has 150k+ followers into my girlfriends personal account. I might make a poll on the niche account to see what the audience says

It could work. If the content it's related to what was posted before, it can be a very good transition!
