Have a Lead, Need Help!!

Brothers and Sisters of BHW, I have an issue and need some help or at the least to get my mind working properly.

One of the sites I have is on page 1 of google, not #1 but still page 1. The site targets a certain industry that happens to be pretty lucrative but I cannot and do not offer the service, you need a specialized License and credential to do this.

So I sent out an email to several business yesterday, that do and can offer this service with the title "How would you like to rank page 1 of Google for the term "Keyword"? I have already done it!"
I then go on to show them the site and give them the KW's that the site rank for, which are all relevant to the business I targeted.

So today I get a reply from a business that reads like this:

Send me examples of other current clients, including website, related search terms, and link sites....and I'll think about it. Thanks.

Well guess what, I dont HAVE any other clients, I used this method to actually GET clients. I thought that creating and ranking the site for the money term would be the "proof" I needed to convince business owners to use me.

I want to remain ethical so I am wondering how to phrase my reply that will give him confidence even with my lack of credentials but leverage the fact that I have already ranked for the term.

Need help, I am pretty tired right now and not thinking straight, so some of my BHW Brethren come to my rescue!!

well either you make some shit up or just stop by if you can and talk
-if you make shit up it could backfire
-tell the truth i help out local charities and dont have a portfolio
-turn it around- why should I select your business
-if its plumbing related they make lawyers look like saints
-offer a freebie 2 or 3 weeks or tell your client that your the first
customer so you will be the portfolio- however you will save save
save. Bottom line you can prove what you have done.
-* And if this guy knows any seo stuff he might be trying to get some info out you for free-

I would just say something like this:

I never disclose any of the clients that I work with... the "Proof is in the Pudding" as they say... the website is already on page 1 and getting results.

I never require a contract so you can cancel at anytime. I am results based and deliver your first page ranking month after month.

I have gotten several other responses, but yours was first, so I wanted to contact you to give you first right of refusal.

I'm hoping my "results first" method of doing business is enough to gain your confidence.

I was thinking the same thing, not sure why he asked for examples of where I post. To me its irrelevant, he wants page 1 ranking (he pays for adwords btw for the same term) and I am offering it to him.

Charging I am not sure so I need some tips there too. Most people I chat with prefer to charge on value rather than cost. The value of the business the client would get assuming he lands even ONE via a page 1 ranking is between $10-$20,000. However my cost to rank is not going to be terribly high unless I outsource everything.

I was considering a montly fee of around $750 p month for the one KW and offering him a deal of $1250 p month for unlimited KW's. There are a number of related services they offer that also bring in big $'s.

This is the approach I want to take but want to be tactful and not put him off. I DO want to have a contract however even if it is 3 months with a renewal option at the end for 1 year.

This is worded very nicely I am definitely going to use this.

I will send a reply email late tonight. He sent his early yesterday so by me sending him a reply he gets a pretty quick message so he knows "I'm on it" but he didnt get it "too quick" so that I dont seem desperate. I will likely use a combo approach of the confidentiality angle and the "I have already done it angle" I appreciate your input!!!!
