Have a HUGE Problem with my links on Twitter

Alright long story short:

I use twitter to promote my websit but the URL got banned so I am using a redirect from another domain to my actual site.

Unfortunately, even with the redirect, twitter marks the link as spam (you can click it but get a warning which of course kills the sense of the whole thing because people gotta be able to click through).

So because of this I have to use mcaf.ee link shortener. But the thing is that when I use mcaf.ee the users on my site will not be taken to the actual paypal payment page. So they basically get stuck after they typed in the information for their purchase.

So my question is: Do you guys no a way to post my link on twitter without having to use mcaf.ee ??

Try setting up a new domain and use that link. 301 that domain to your site.

Twitter will mark the link as spam anyway, as OP already told.

Instead 301, use iframe.

redirects of any kind will not help as Twitter bots & scanners can follow the redirect to the final destination url which is the banned one. So, the only option for you is to use a cloaker that will filter the hits from Twitter bots, or, try researching and collecting their bots IPs and any other patterns which you can block later.

Since its the twitter automated check banning your links, may be you can try doing something like getting a domain and setting up a redirection only to the actual visitors and show a clean site to the twitter link checker.

Or you can use iframe to ifram the old site in your new domain.

These are something that came to my mind now.

If every redirect is being caught I would just use a cloaker.

I guess it depends why your site is getting marked as spam?
Is it twitter flagging it up due to content? If so iframe might work as suggested above.

Or is it the users flagging up the content? If so I think you will struggle to find solution because you will just keep getting reported...

They will mark at spam , the best choise is to use a good cloaker .

From my experience, twitter themselves always have the word twitter in the user agent of their bots so it's easy to filter out their bots. The main problem is that they use multiple factors to determine if a link is spam.
i.e.
1. if a link is sent lots of times but almoast never clicked it will get marked as spam ( i did the experiment for this ).
2. if you use a link with mentions/replies it gets marked as spam alot easier
3. if there is a high ratio of reports / blocks resulting from your tweets, the urls get marked as spam almoast immediately

-- i've even tried these scenarios with google search urls and they get marked as spam sometimes ( the urls, not the domain )

It would be very naive of Twitter to only use bots with their identifying name in the user agent -- no other platform these days is that simplistic. Most use a combination of regular spiders, shadow bots, and partners (not to mention manual reviewers).

The previous point about visitors reporting the site/link is very true and something you see with FB when trying to promote dating and adult offers. Even when the cloaker works you can get enough complaints that you're shut down.
