I was wondering when someone would point out that I was a Flippa admin

As for the bid-cancel-bid-cancel routine you describe: yeah, that's a problem. We're focused on identifying shills that drive up the price of an auction, which this doesn't technically do, but we do take action against this kind of scheme when we find them (and I've passed on this tip to our Marketplace Integrity guys).

the OP has a good domain name and i am sure if he had a passion and listed the domain as Featured auction for $50. he can make good money and drive a lot traffic and views for his auction. there is always the reserve price option to secure his domain in case if there is no sales.
