To be honest, I won't go looking for profits with $1K spending it on media buying and ads.
If you have some business owners in your circle, get a nice company theme for yourself, load it up with your services and go spread some flyers (7878 method will also work) or just go out to meet some people and tell them what you can do. If you can't do SEO/Social Media Marketing etc yourself, get a whitelabel and become the middle man.
I think this is the best way to invest some, keep some and most important, gain some in just a few days

if i was starting out again with 1k the question i would ask myself is how much am i trying to make? and how fast? because that will determine what you tackle. realistically you should be able to make $100/day ongoing from MNS with $1000. If you pick one niche and stick to it on FB ads, you can probably get there with $1000 worth of making mistakes and learning too. I doubt you can do higher cost learning curves like media buying or selling your own products.

well to be honest, if i 'm getting at least my ROI back, i wud be happy,
I'm not a noob, been doing stuff since long.
Yeah Micro niche websites could do well, I'm seriously planning to do it in near future .
but with 1K, i wud be willing to Spend on media buying or something

Adsense and fan page won't work. Don't even think about that.
1. You made mention of web development which is a good business model.
Why don't you create a site around that and promote it on the forums,
PPC, fan page/facebook, social media and YouTube.
2. Another thing you should look at is amazon affiliate.
If you find a few good product with buying keywords and
setup your website, rank it on Google and promote it via YouTube/Social media
you can make good money off that too.
If you can create the sites you should be able to manage the $1000 on these two
business opportunities and getting them off the ground..
