Hey everyone, I'm in need of a new laptop but I'm having trouble deciding between models. I definitely want an Ultrabook with 4th gen Haswell processor - I'll probably go with i5 over i7 as I don't need the extra power.

I want a laptop that can do everything I want to do but is still portable.

So far I'm looking at Sony Vaio Pro 13 and Acer Aspire S7, but I'm unsure if there will be a better Haswell Ultrabook released later this year. I really like the Lenovo X1 Carbon and I'm wondering if Lenovo will release a 4th generation Ultrabook that is even better.

Also, will prices decrease with a Back to School sale or Cyber Monday Sale? I'm in no hurry to buy one. (I'm in the US.)

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

As far as waiting for a better model, I would suggest not doing that. I was in the same situation as you. Trust me, there will always
be a better model coming out soon enough. You just have to pick what you want and stick with it.

As for my choice, I'd definitely go with the Vaio. Sony handles themselves as a company very professionally, and their build quality is always top notch. Also, the Vaio is fairly lighter compared to the S7 from what I've read.

Hope that helps. :)

Looks like people on BHW can't decide anything by themselves...Phones, LapTops, Ultrabooks, FriendZoned situations....

I just noticed you joined the same month as me, and have almost 1,000 more posts than I. Guess I need to stop raving and be more active...heh.
