Does posting a hashtag in instagram bio help you? Will people searching for # will also help to land on your profile?
or does# only make sense on images?

I don't think it helps you. Pretty sure only hashtag matter on the picture you post

You'll be driving people to that hashtag from your profile. Unless the hashtag is unique to your brand, so people see lots of your stuff when they click on it, I see no other advantage.
