Nothing has changed in my niche except for pushing anchor text with the brand name to a high degree. Stuff that worked 6 years ago still works and the same people who own 10-20 year expired domains of companies that went out of business still rank. The post was made because people talking about GEO, AIO and whatever O's exist out there.

If there is a AI issue, high authority sites with lies, half lies or fact rank for short periods of time or during algo updates when they get confused.

Also, everything google says not to do works the best and those doing it the best rank page one.

honestly SEO has changed a bit more in looks than substance. while the search engine results pages look very different from how they did back then with the added layer of artificial intelligence, google still needs to dettermine what page deserves to be seen. tactics that were successful way back then can still get done in the present time, though with varying risks involved.

Sure. The niche might be the same overall, but the labels have shifted. Most of the old SEO steps still do the job. GEO and AIO are more like extra parts added on top.

That’s right, this is the compromise. There are some shortcuts that can temporarily influence rankings, but they become difficult to maintain after the site is reassessed. Creating actual relevance and building credibility takes time, but lasts longer.
