Has your IG Follow Back rate gone down?

Hi guys

I wanted to know if this is happening to rest

I noticed that across the board, the instagram follow back rate has dropped in my accounts since SEP 15.

Even in my personal account, when I am following people I see I get less follow back.

Is it just me?

have you found a way around it?

Yes dropped from 300/day to around 150. Did not think much of it until now
 
Definitely happened to me. Dropped to hardly any following back. Somebody told me it had to do with the new algorthym changes on IG and should be better soon. I have no idea if that's true or even what that means.
 
I'm not sure how IG can limit your follow back ratio to be honest. For example, if you follow 600 people, 600 people will get notified that you followed them and I don't think there are any ways IG have prevented users from following back. I haven't noticed any change personally..
 
I thought that as well. I had hired someone to (who was probably using FL) to do my account. Cancelled a few days ago (for a variety of reasons) and am really interested to start trying FL and seeing if there's a difference. Will probably start next week. Interested in hearing if other people end up getting back their numbers.
 
i have this problem as well , since the last update things have started to go to hell..
 
Happened to me too. Although I don't do Follow/unfollow. I stick to manual likes only.
I used to have 50 followers a day, now I barely get 35.
Also there's a big difference between AM (GMT) and PM. I manually keep notes of which hour I get most followers.
There was almost nothing in the morning, but before this week it used to be the prime time to bag some followers (for me anyway)

So Masakil,

How many manual likes a day do you have to do to get 50 (or 35) new followers a day? Are you saying if you manually like in the PM, that's the new prime time to bag new followers? Any method you use to get figure out which pix/whose pix to like to get new followers?

I don't really count. Probably 100 every hour whenever I remember. Everyone is different. It's just for me.
PM was never my prime time (it should have always the morning). But the whole morning liking seems to do nothing this week.
Oh well, maybe it's a new algo thing.

IG can do just about anything it wants. More particularly, in answer to your question, IG will shadow your follow so that the person being followed will not, or never, see that you followed them.

Same for likes, DM, or comments. Sometimes, IG will let your action go through, but hours after you made them. Some call this shadowing or temp banning. Whatever name you want to give it, it still the same. IG phucks with your account as they seem fit.
 
Well. we gotta keep an eye on it. It's definitively happening across the board.

I think Pinterest stopped notifying users when they are followed and now the follow back rate totally suck. I hope IG does not go that route
 
I forgot to say, I noticed that when I am manually adding 50 people, sometimes IG only reports 6 more or something like that in my profile.

Weird. Something is happening and gotta figure out the way around it
 
IG are upping their game against automation.
My bots just like and my follow back ratio has more than halved. This is after years so I know somethings up.
they have tightened all the rules big time.
 
follow back is nothing with IG. Its everyones opinion to follow you back or not.
 
Same here but it does have any impact on me because Now I am working with YT things ;)
 
Mine hs gone down to using Followliker, today I have Gained 64 and I have followed 587 Accounts
I might give Nitrogram a try although it seems a bit pricey
