You prepare for something so hard. (a speech, meeting, presentation etc)
But when you are about to deliver it, everything goes blank. Like you don't even remember the basic shit.

Happened to me today for the first time.

The more this happens the worse it will get

Make it a habit to fight off that blankness, and soon you'll be able to deliver great speeches.

You're looking for instant gratitude here, but the only way forward is to fight against it.

sounds like you had an anxiety attack happens to me when i started college. just be your self and dont let yourself get too nervous,

For public presentations, I like to let it flow naturally. Whenever I overthink it I go blank. I keep some key points in my head and improvise everything in between. I'm much better on my feet.

Happened to me. It was a speech competition in our college. I don't know why the Professor selected me and gave me Obama's speech :/

I still remember the opening sentence: "I am here with students at Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia." and then blaaaaank!

The audience looked at me and I looked at the audience and then somehow i finished the speech. Still sends shivers down my spine!

You have to walk in there and know you're going to own it, and then OWN IT. If you're not good at memorizing, then freewheel it. This aint politics, unless you're a politician so no need to have a fully memorized speech. Like someone else said, just remember key talking points.

And the more speeches you can do, the faster you're going to do it with ease.

Next time, tell to yourself: I am standing here and I am having a panic attack. That's okay. I know it and I accept it, but I will finish my speech and everything will go away.
And then take a deep breath and keep going.
That's the best suggestion I can give you. Relax and make it feel natural. Don't force yourself to memorize everything. Keep just some key points on your mind.

Ah yes, my first major public speaking disasters were even caught on camera. But how come this has only just happened to you for the first time? Nevermind. Just prepare for a whole lot of those. I mean, you could seek therapy, if you wanted to get to the bottom of the problem. But really, the only thing you can do is be confident in your expertise and just do the thing.

I feel the best way to combat this is by being honest. Not just with yourself but with your audience. By saying that you are nervous or that you just blanked out. It usually creates a air of laughter/encouragement from the audience. Remember, they came to hear you so it's not like they want you to do bad.

I'm sorry but that's not a good suggestion. Seeing people laughing at you will make everything worse.
Keep calm and never show your insecurities. Nobody cares. They will just laugh at you. People can be very mean. Especially the crowds

Sorry, I guess I should preface that with reading your audience. If your audience is ruthless aka corporate or a bunch of teens who don't care who you are then yes you can't use my advice. My talks have always been informal so I've always been fairly lax/frank. The key is to be in your element. Either that or specifically write notes on your hands.

Exactly!
I wrote it having in mind some kind of competition speach so you should always read your audience before taking any risky steps.

Yes dear, I remember studying 1 month for my first presentation in German (20 minutes). I stand up, go in front of 30 people, my mind starts showing 404 error, I sit down.

Be prepared, don't overthink (very important) and now what you are talking about. What helped me was not to give a fuck about the people. Sometimes I imagined I am talking to children in a kindergarten instead of a big audience. Sometimes I talked to the strangers like to my friends. Most important I didnt care what they think.

Yes, it happens because of high nervousness. Best way I fought this was preparing well and once I know I am prepares I see the presentación as a talk with friends. Loosen up and you'll get over this next time.
