Has paypal ever put a hold on your funds?

I once heard from a friend way back that paypal held his funds for 6 entire months. I don't trust them for this reason but more so if dealing with large amounts of money.

I mean I'm thinking of getting multiple businesses set up with different paypal accounts just to minimize this possibility but still..

yes. the same thing happened to me if you go against there terms of service they disable your account and hold your funds for a period of time.
