Has my site been penalized?

Hi guys,

quick question: I have a money site that I'm pointing PBN links to. A couple of days ago the money site rankings dropped and I looked up the PBN sites: all were live. I checked them on majestic and one showed "link lost" - even thoguh the site is up and running and the link is still there.

Any ideas?

check your google search console for any messages

How old is the site ? What anchors did you used ? How well optimized is your website ? Did you used links to dilute anchor ratios ? How many links you've build every day / week ?...

check the google webmaster tools for your PBN to check if it have errors
some times Google failed to fetch the sites because of hosting errors

I've had that happen to be quite a bit. Your rankings are most likely dancing due to the power of these links. However, you need to make sure that your PBNs are clear of spam, and that they have never been used as a PBN before (screenshots.com, Web Archive etc.)

do you mean if it has been deindexed? I googled the plain url in " and it shows up as #1. So it probably has not ben deindexed. Was that what you meant?

- Money site is ~8 weeks old, PBN ~5.
- Anchor is exact match for my #1 keyword.
- What do you mean by optimized? I use wordpress on both with yoast seo. Both sites look natural with "About us", "contact" pages etc.
- Yes, is use 2.0s, article submissions, directory submissions etc.
- Not sure since I outsourced some of it, I build 3 PBN links over the last 8 weeks, around 10 web2.0s and 60 or so other submissions.

Funny enough, the link is back online and the rankings are back. Is this normal? Might my site have been down? I'm using 1$ hosting but it does not seem to have uptime issues.

You can use Google gabblet tool to check palatalization.

Yes, i would also recommend you use the Google gabblet tool or check here directly "http://toolbox.gabblet.com/google-penalty-checker-tool-check.aspx" to check your site status, if it's been penalized or not.

But one thing is certain, if you did use several same anchor texts or the websites you used in building the links are on the same host or somehow connected, you might have been hit.
But check it first to be certain.
