I haven't tested purely that so can't tell but sounds promising. I've done this on one site and it did improve but I've also done lot of other things so take it for what it is.

Same here bro...but I am seeing a bit of an upward curve in clicks and impressions for now. I'll say let's give it 2-3 more days to bounce back, and if nothing happens, one thing that I plan to do is blast some informational content for a while.
If that doesn't help - will look to switch from White hat to Black hat and try to monetize the website.

Another thing that I noticed (and other people mentioned somewhere else, but I cannot recollect where) is that they (me also) are seeing visits from third-world countries.
But here is the interesting part: on G Analytics, under real-time and location, I noticed visits from Seychelles and it is more than usual. Also, when double-checking the location back in Jetpack, I only see 1 visit from Seychelles and I noticed way more than that. My conclusion is that Google is somehow confused about the traffic locations, meaning they have some issues with it.
This is the case for both of the sites that I own.

Update still on, all google is on some kind of stop mode, they don't even crawl, GSC same has a lot of limitations. I think this update was a lot more than some simple review one, was and still is a core one.
