Has anyone tried using micro workers to get views, likes, subs?

Has anyone used any type of micro workers (mturk or others) to view, like, subscribe or comment on a video? I realized it could be a little expensive but it might be worth it to jump start a video without getting banned. Let me know your thoughts.

Good idea. I think there is no reason to ban but like you said it would be expensive.

I am going to post a video and test it to see how it goes.

Here is the test that I did...
I uploaded a video to youtube that my 10yr old son created for school, it was a video skit. The video was about 4 1/2 min. long so not really ideal for this test. I created a HIT at mturk for them to view the last 50 seconds of the video and make a one word comment on the video at youtube or on the HIT page at mturk (the reason that I let them choose to make the comment at mturk is because I think it might violate mturk TOS to ask them to do a HIT that requires them to be logged into an account to do the HIT. I am not sure on this so if anyone knows for sure then let me know). I also requested that they like the video if they wanted to.
-I only wanted to pay 10 cents total for the view and comment so it is recommended by mturk that you keep the task at a minute or less if you are only paying 10 cents. That is why i only asked them to watch the last 50 second of the video. My problem with this is that youtube only registered 19 of the 50 views. My next test will be to create a video that is less than a minute long so it will be a complete view.
-I did receive 9 (one word) comments and 13 likes
-Total cost was $5
I will post my next test with a video that is under a minute and let you know how that goes.

Did you have a chance to test that? I am going to try it this weekend with a short video.

I read an article a while back explaining what exactly you can and can't use them for and how it fits into IM. I can't find it at the moment. But if you do some searches on tips for requesting Turks. Unusual Turk job requests. It starts getting you thinking outside the box.

Yup, with some success.

Biggest things I learned, create mini campaigns vs one big one. And be super clear in your steps. Also, if you need Canadian actions, you're kind of screwed. For whatever reason, none of those platforms has much Canadian usership.

They are good platforms. Would recommend for a lot of different stuff.
