Has anyone tried Ultimate Demon yet?

I Posted a similar thread on Warrior Forum. I've pasted a response that I found very helpful.
1. Too few sites - Only like 12 web 2.0 sites in the software. The most sites are in the bookmarking module (about 60) but considering that the author was the creator of BMD I expected a lot more at least in that module.

2. Success rates are really bad.

3. User interface is a clusterf***.

4. The "one time fee" of $397 is not actually a "one-time fee". You have to pay $147 for every major update that comes out every 1-2 years.

5. The $47/month is only for ONE computer. Most other software (like SEnuke) give you the license to use it on THREE machines with one license. So keeping that in mind, the monthly offer is actually not any cheaper than SEnuke (and SEnuke is miles ahead in terms of number of sites and success rates and overall work-flow).

The ability to add your own sites is only for the bookmarking module (we already had that in BMD), the article module (exactly what AMR does) and the forum module. You can't actually add any web 2.0s or high quality sites into it, so the "add your own sites" thing is a bit of a joke.

Definitely not renewing my subscription

Thank you so much. Almost buy this one as it is cheap at $47. But you are right. Considering it only work on one computer, it is really not cheap for a new released software which is not tested by many people.

Thanks again for saving my money.

Few things here.

The Bad.

  • Very few WEB2.0 sites (12)
  • Poor creation submission rates (under 50%) for WEB2
  • $147 every 2 years for major updates (even with lifetime licence)
  • Captcha affiliation (you will pay double for captchas through the inbuilt api)

The Good

  • Bookmarking Demon and Article Marketing Demon included
  • Add your own sites
  • Easy to use
  • WILL IMPROVE

WHY?

Well, you see the last two points in the "bad" section. That means that effectively everyone is paying a sub of some kind on this. The financial model Edwinsoft use relies on continued revenue from captcha afilliation and updates..not just new adopters.
BMD is 6 years old now, and still has regular updates (last one was just a couple of weeks ago)

For this to continue they need to do a couple of things;

  • Add several more WEB2 sites (make it at least 20...12 is not enough)
  • Fix these sites on a weekly/bi weekly basis so that at least 80% of them always run the correct sign up or submission scripts
  • Maybe tidy the interface a little.

Personally, having dealt with these guys for a few years now, I think this will happen - though why the feck they didn't choose me for the Beta - or give me a few free months is beyond me.

I don't live or die by any one product, but I know for darn sure that Brian visits BHW - and the amount of free training and advice I've given on BMD esspecially you'd have thought he'd have [I'm joking BTW]

So not for everyone - not as good as the nukex yet (which I'll come out and say is a darn site better than Nuke was by the end of it's gibblet trailing life) - but potentially a very good investment in a month or two when the release bugs have been ironed out, something I'm confident will happen.
For many solo IMers (to whom the triple licenese that NukeX offers means little or nothing) then this software will come in at a decent price point for what it offers - once fixed up. It's a third of the price of NukeX - and remember NukeX lasted about 2 and a half years - then you had to buy the major upgrade. At leat UD guys are telling us about this BEFORE it happens - as it surely will with every piece of quality IM software out there. (except maybe scrapebox). Even allowing for the captcha affiliation - (say and extra $30 a month) this will still roll in at half the cost of Nuke - and if it does what your IM strategy calls for...then that's just fine.

I will add this though...

For the money it costs, the ongoing captcha affiliate and the bi-annual update fee, it NEEDS to be good, otherwise it'll sink without a trace.

Hi guys,

What do you think about the improvements on Ultimate Demon:

"We have been hard at work in the past 2 weeks and today we would like
to take this opportunity to update you on UltimateDemon's development:

- We have just released UltimateDemon 1.0.1.0

- We have increased the number of Web2.0 sites to 39.

- We have added a new web directories module.

- You can now self-add web2.0 sites using the script ELGG

- You can now self-add web directories using the script PHPLD.

- We have also added a scraper into UltimateDemon. You can now scrape for
self-add sites within the software.

- You can now use catchall emails within UltimateDemon."

Does "You can now self-add web2.0 sites" means we can add web2.0 blogs like wordpress, etc?

Any thoughts?

It means you can add in various sites with the elgg platform

The whole captcha thing is what won't make me by this. Anyone who tries to use it on a mass level will get bled to death by the double captcha cost.

SenukeX ftw!

Over exaggerate much?

Decaptcher: $2/1000
UD:$2.22 per 1000 images

Plus you can use captchakiller as well (api connectivity built into the tool)

I've got zero problem with the dev trying to make a buck..hell, I would be too if I was trying to mass produce software and give a ton of options for captcha breaking.

Just saw all of the changes they just rolled out...how are they working? Are people having success with submitting their own web 2.0's?

Also..is the bookmarking faster in Ultimate Demon than BMD? BMD was always slow as shit, so I'm looking for something much faster.

hay,

Thinking to buy UltimateDemon. I own BMD, but do I need BMD when I have UD? Or can I sell my BMD licence when I purchase UD?

cheers

SenukeX ftw!

Let's not get into a dick measuring contest folks.

SENukeX is the market leader, the guys that made it did a great job of turning round the original Nuke (which for it's last 12 months was not very good at all)

I spend about $40 a month on captchas as most are solved by either sniper or killer (otherwise I would blow probably $200 a month) but only a fraction of that would be on this one piece of software.

It seems a fair system. Software is cheap ($47 is less than 1/3 of Nuke) it seems to work very well now after this update and to ensure it gets more updates the coders need some come-back from the heavy users.

If I spend $30 a month on solves just for Demon rather than $15 i'll factor that extra $15 into my profit/loss.

End of the day these two softwares are for slightly different target audiences. Nuke is complete...(keyword tool etc), it's well coded and runs smoothly. I like it.

Demon is 1/3 of the cost out the bag (and the lifetimes deal with bi-annual update cost only if you want to) works out about $18 a month for the first two years then about $7 a month from then on.

The ability to add sites is 80% there now. To the poster above - Wordpress is already included - there are 10 web 2 sites PR 4 or higher.

Buy one - buy the other - hell buy both - they are EXCELLENT pieces of software from companies that have a proven track record of providing what we in IM need long term.

Affiliate schemes for UD and higher monthly subs for Nuke is how this service is possible - no point bitching about it.

Buy whichever one suits your needs/pocket/preference - in the long run I would bet my first pint and JD tomorrow night that both will do the IM community proud for a few years to come

But let's not sit around here measuring our dicks. We all have "owner pride" for stuff we decided to buy - but bear in mind that no-one else really gives a monkeys what your reasons for buying "a" rather than "b" are.

Another thing, just to prove as an example..I ran Link Wheel Builder, SeNuke, and UD last night on several computers..backlinks were had by all (different ones). Whereas one tool might not be complete, you can sure as hell supplement them with other tools.

QFT

UD is actually not that similar to SENukeX - I've bought UD and now have it on a server. Success rates for WEB2.0 is about 70%..much better than last week - just a tad under what I would like (80% is my "standard")

I added a list I found of 9000 article sites from BHW (of which 1200 were any good - UD checks them all) and posted 1 article so far.

Approx 50% of the sites had PR 1 or higher (site not individual URL)

Actually attempted to sign up and post to 1061 sites. 902 signed up, 640 took the article first run - a further 80 odd took the article second run a couple of hours later - again roughly 70%

I have scrapebox running every night for forums (MYBB PHPBB and SMF) which can be added, as can ELGG sites for WEB2, Dugg, Pligg, Publicbookmark, Scuttle and Scuttle+ for bookmarks....

PHPLD directories can be added (and there are thousands of them) and
Wordpress
Friendly
Beach MS and
Dashboard.....article sites can be added.

Promise of more WEB2 sites if possible

So while still a little rough around the edges and in all honesty it still is - the potential is enormous.

But like Cody said - you need more than just one tool in your box.
Good IM requires content, you need to find sites (though it now has a scraper - it jasn't suddenly turned into scrapebox)
You need to do your keyword research ..
the list of tasks you need to do goes on and on.

No tool does it all, but if creating your own links and indexing is what your after, then UD is one of the tools you might want to consider.

So of course is SENukeX - essp now they've got rid of that annoying 15 year old kid on the landing page. Man did that ever cheapen a product.

SENuke trying to be quality (and doing pretty well as far as the product most of the time)...but fronted by "Arfur Daily's Godson" knelt in front of his dads people carrier.

"Owright mate - wanna dodgy IM product...wink wink"

What the hell was all that about?

Much better now Areeb is doing it himself. Very professional.

Who's got the best bonuses for buying through their link?

Do I need BMD furthermore when I have UD?

i had a talk with them they said they will come with direct urls of bookmarks i guess u dont need bmd in coming days !!! becoz u can add bookmarking sites

@Scritty
What proxies do you use on Ultimate Demon?
I just want to know if I need to purchase private proxies or just scraped proxies. I want to have an idea on the monthly expense for UD.
Thanks
