Ever since reading Napoleon Hill's great book "Think and Grow Rich" I have always came back to chapter eleven and been baffled.

I just don't understand, how do you perform sex transmutation? I noticed he said something about how the younger men never achieve success since they dissipate their sexual energies.

Ejaculation is the only way to physically release sexual energy.

So is he saying that young people tend to ejaculate more than older men? Then since older men don't ejaculate as much that they can save there sexual energy and transmute it into noteworthy achievement?

He basically saying when you're young & you got a bunch of testosterone you tend to be distracted by the girlies a bit more.

Serisously? There are plenty of young men who are successful. Stop grabbing your dick and go make some money. It wouldn't hurt to burn that book or give it to somebody you don't like.
 
Luckily, this was one of the first things I read when I got this book, so I didn't waste too much of my time on it.

From what I gathered, the core ideas are (in no particular order, it's hard to tell which one is more absurd):
1. Sex is the most powerful human desire
2. Your brain works best when you're in state of constant arousal = horny
3. Ejaculating makes you physically and mentally weaker
so
4. You should abstain from sex/masturbation and channel that sexual energy (however that process would be possible in his deranged mind) into something productive, aka sexual transmutation.

I don't think any of this needs further comments. The amount of pseudosci-fi crap and fallacious thinking is just too much, even for the early 20th century.
Or is it... according to wikipedia, the book somehow sold more than 80 million copies. :confused:

(trying to imagine all these poor souls thinking transmuting their energy... :rolleyes: :wank:)
 
1 hour jerking off to porn is the same as 1 hour playing video games/watching sports. They are all 1 hour not spent towards working towards a goal that can bring you money.

Sexual energy is a bullshit term.
 
Hes talking about a phenomenon that my friends and I call "Pussy Drunk" ie when you are young, loose and full of juice its hard to concentrate on the money when you can easily get distracted. The theory is you get older you lose interest in nookie and so concentrate on your business.

I dont believe a word of it, I know some old boys who are as randy as Tom cats with three balls.
 
LOL. :) I guess he was saying that teenagers get to be distracted more by sex rather than older men and this causes them to prioritize that type of emotion rather than more productive urges. But that's what being young means, right? Having some fun. Get some enjoyment in life while you still can. If you can get the "fun" along with being "successful", why not eh?
 
What about porn stars,escorts and webcam models? They all make lots of money and they have lots of sex and in the case of webcam models they also masturbate alot on webcam. Yet they can pull in tens of thousands of dollars a month doing something related to sex or masturbation.

Don't used titles or names like life energy, because then it all sounds so melodramatic and belonging in temples with gurus and stuff...

I'm not sure I understand the question, I'll answer like this: Do you find it beneficial to light candles without using their light for a purpose?

What did you mean by your question more exactly?
