Has anyone tried iphone mirroring in Mac Sequoia?

I'm trying to find a solution for using an iphone in the US while traveling remotely.

I know there are options for mobile proxies and I've read a lot of guides, I'm just not sure of some nuances (like whether or not you can connect via wifi, etc). But that's a different story.

I was reading up on ways to control your iphone remotely and apparently iphone mirroring is a new thing with macs. So, if I had a Mac at a friends place in the US and an iphone sitting right next to it, could I remote desktop into the mac and control the iphone remotely to post / interact on instagram? I only need to do this for two personal accounts.

iPhone Mirroring can be used with only one Mac and one iPhone at a time. Your devices must meet these requirements.

• Your computer is a Mac with Apple silicon or Mac with the Apple T2 Security Chip and is using macOS Sequoia 15 or later.
• Your iPhone is using iOS 18 or later.
• Your iPhone and Mac are signed in to the same Apple Account using two-factor authentication.
• Your iPhone and Mac have Bluetooth and Wi-Fi turned on.
• Your iPhone is locked and near your Mac. It can also be charging and using StandBy.
