As the title says -

I think my major issue for not trying random methods is because the thought of wasting weeks and months can be really discouraging (I have experienced this enough times). I'm not too concerned about money going down the drain as money can come and go really fast in life, but after reading the majority of the popular methods I came to realize they been posted at around 2008 - 2010 and are probably outdated. I guess I'm just seeing if anyone feels the same way.

Answering the question in your title: If you've read over 100 forum posts (well, threads) and you haven't made a single dollar, it's on you and it's time to look at yourself and what you're doing wrong. TBH; if you've read over 100 forum threads and money making methods and you haven't made a single dollar, you suck.

Answering the question in your post though: Sure, lots of methods are outdated. Many of the core principles still exist though; conduct marketing/advertising for a product to sell. At that point, if a method becomes outdated or a method doesn't work, brainstorm and use your imagination to how YOU can make this method work or better. If you're affiliate selling web hosting or Amazon affiliates, think of ways to promote and sell your product with your imagination. What aren't others doing? What are they doing? How can I best target my specific audience? Things of that nature. Yeah, you can read through threads from 2010, copy them verbatim as most prob do, and then go "Wow, this doesn't work, fuck this". Or, you can read up-to-date information and use your head and creativity to put a spin and make better methods of today.

My thoughts on this at least.

I registered for these forums about a week ago and I've already made $10, which ain't much, but hell it's something and it means I'm learning.

Just keep on researching, start out with smaller projects, set a goal for yourself everyday, and follow through. You won't waste your time if you really dedicate yourself. I'm a newb so I might be talking out of my ass, but that's what I believe.

My first word of advice: if you're going to read 100 threads, you may as well read 100 good and fresh ones. The below guide a fellow member kindly wrote should help you direct your efforts:
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/2017-powerful-method-to-browse-bhw-guides-effectively.971032/

Second advice: When you find something that looks solid & recent using the above trick, stop reading and ACT. Many (most?) people here have read literally hundreds of threads and made $0 because they're doing just that, reading. You'll need to get your hands dirty at some point. And yes, you may fail, but at least you'll have lessons to learn. Just give it time until you find some method you're good at.

I have also not earned a single dollar yet :P
Mainly because I don't have any bank account , no PVA FB accounts or iG accounts etc :(

"Fall 7 times stand up 8" - Internet marketing is all about self-education and trying. After reading a hundred posts you should have some vague ideas on how to make money online. Just try, if you fail a project then take that experience and use it for the next project. I tend to read on this forum after breakfast and before bed to stay up to date with the latest trends in IM, educate myself and connect with other marketers.

If I just read all day nothing would happen. My first 5-months in IM sucked, actually lost money. However, if you stay persistent good things will come. Stop reading and start doing!

I've been here for about 2-3 years, lurking and reading this great forum, but I didn't try a single method.

The reason why I am not trying is because I don't know how to find niches and I'm scared i will fail. It's frustrating because I have a lot of time to invest, but sadly I am not creative enough.

I am sure there are people that have read over 1k post and still have not made anything. Just because you read something mean you can turn right back around and make money on it.

If you don't know how to find niches after being here for 2-3 years, I don't what the hell you've been reading. And if you just like reading posts here for entertainment, that's totally fine. But if you've really been here for 3 years, you have a ton of free time, and you still haven't tried a single thing, then none of this is for you and you need to find a way to make money probably offline. I'm guessing that after 3 years you already know it's not for you, but it's worth mentioning. If you're still reading to get ideas on how to make money, then you should try something else hah
