I am aware in most cases it is our content and SEO that gets us the rankings, but I've never tried to rank some suspicious looking domains like .click.

Has anyone successfully ranked such TLDs before?

Anyone?

In SEO point is should rank the same as .com .net etc.
I ranked good .llc in the past.

But it can get lower CTR because of TLD.

That makes sense. Thank you.

I think it looks dodgy. Thus it's not about the name itself but how much people would trust it. You need actual human signals to rank nowadays, since everyone's Google lab mouse now they're watching what people actually do to rank. If nobody clicks on a .click (I wouldn't ) it won't rank.

I think clicks would depend on what people are looking for. Like most .click domains are used for warez sites. Mine is going to be in a similar niche. People looking for a premium thing for cheap or even free would click, I assume. Conversions are going to be low, but that's the case with every premium leaks website. I guess I'll have to try it out to see if it works.

Well that explains why the TLD has low trust then. If everyone links this TLD with warez then it looks dodgy IMO. Not a general rule but I know I'd be wary of linking to this TLD unless I really knew the site.
