I’ve been testing some old, almost-dead Facebook accounts and weirdly, their first few posts are getting more reach than my active ones.

Could Facebook be giving “fresh exposure” to dormant profiles to bring users back?

Anyone else noticed this trend or tested it?

maybe it's facebook's gift to make up for the days of constant scanning and disabling

Fb appears to provide a slight boost to reactivated accounts to increase engagement, potentially boosting early posts before they reach their full potential
 
It’s plausible — social platforms sometimes boost early posts on dormant accounts to test or re-activate them.
More likely: those early posts face less "competition" and get better organic reach benchmarks.

Facebook has a long history of “reactivation boosts,” where dormant or inactive accounts get short-term organic reach spikes to pull users back in.
 
Yeah, I’ve noticed that too! I just try posting a few times consistently after reactivating old accounts sometimes the reach stays decent for a bit before dropping again.
 
I didn't know inactive accounts get that much reach. I'll try it with my old, unused accounts to see if the engagement is good

Yes, many people have noticed this too. Facebook may be prioritizing re-displaying content from old accounts to encourage them to return to the platform and increase organic engagement.
 
I tested an old account last month. First posts reached 2-3x more than normal posts on my active accounts.

If yoy are getting better reach, you should exploit it. Grow them and then passive income each month.
 
But it usually fades after a few days unless you keep posting consistently and engaging with others
 
Really? I have some inactive accounts too, Maybe I should start using them
 
Yeah, I’ve noticed that too! I’m still kinda new to deep testing, but from what I’ve seen, Facebook sometimes boosts activity on “revived” accounts to re-engage inactive users. The reach usually drops back after a few posts though — seems like a short-term push, not a lasting advantage.
