Has anyone monetized a channel from scratch recently without using your voice?

I have an idea for a channel but it would consist on text and images mostly, however I keep hearing that youtube isnt monetizing channels without real people using their voice or showing up on camera. Im too shy for that bullshit. So can anyone confirm this is true or its just a myth?

Already replied to your other thread. Do what I suggested and that could work for you. Without the channel being already monetised, you will not get it monetised.

Yes I did monetize my channel and I don't have voice and I don't appear in the videos. It's a channel with how-to videos.

You could look into getting a mate do the voice overs or pay someone on fiverr to narrate your vids. Obviously this would only be necessary till you get monetised then you should be able to run the vids how you prefer to.

There are some good text to speak alternatives but they are rarely good enough to fool people if they really watch the videos closely.

I did got a monetized channel with compilations of twitch streamers like 3 months ago...
but today I got a message that they still held my review for a deep look on a channel that I was uploading only walkthroughs of a game, intro - outro logo so yeah, it may not work at all from now compilations or just gaming. probably they need a voice or even a face...
