Has anyone bought Ultimate Demon though Affiliate Link?

Me and a friend plan to buy one license of Ultimate Demon and put it on a VPS. We saw that they offer an affiliate program and our plan is that one of us joins the aff. program, and the other one buys it, so that we get a 40% discount.
Has anyone tried this? Do they pay you, are there any hidden fees, like transaction fees and etc.
What is your experience with their aff program.

Do they have a minimum payout for the affiliate program? You might not get your 40% back until you get <xx> amount of referral signups.
