My story,
On January 27, 2013 I bought monthly package of $79/month and found out it's useless for me within few hours later.
Their data is poor and sucked compared with semrush or many others (which i have used).
Based on what they claimed here:
http://www.spyfu.com/videos/30-day-money-back-guarantee
i sent a refund request to all of their contact mails, not 1 but 3 mails to their support, sales, and press division.
for the first time i got this:

Thank you for contacting SpyFu support! We strive to answer all questions within 24 hours, except on weekends.
If it is during our business hours (8am-5pm mountain standard) you can also reach us on livechat. Once you're logged into SpyFu the livechat link should be in the footer of most pages.

Nothing happened and after few days i sent more mails. They just ignore it. I guess they filter and they are scared of all mails which tittle related to "refund". If not, why they dont respond to the later ones except for the first.
It's has been 30 days.
They just kept silent and the money too.
$79 is not a big deal for me to make this type of thread but it maybe useful for those who intend to waste your 79 bucks.
Just stay away from spyfu and use your money somewhere else.
best,

new update, i have to change my CC due to their illegal second charge of $79
will file a report to ripoff

Please create a thread in the shitlist section as it will help a lot of people and make title spyfu scam

I used it but the company I worked was paying for it, so I didn't have such situation.
But I agree with you that SemRush is much better!

Well looks like this is a good lead for reputation management services lol

Really, who would take up a bunch of scammers? They delivered crap and ain't responding to emails to charge even more, this is a fraud imo.

OP, do whatever you can to have them hurt, like chargebacks, bad reviews on big sites etc, if you want.

If they charged you via Paypal, you can easily get them banned by sending an email to Paypal. If this was a direct CC charge, you can have a bigger impact to their business. Contact your bank and send a "I have been scammed by this company" sort of mail. Their gateway is gonna f**k them for sure :D

I've had problems with them as well. Your CC provider should be able to get your money back. Spyfu is just a sh*t company.

It is called manufactured demand and the OP could take advantage of this opportunity and possibly get his money back or make
more depending on the resale services he could present or do it himself..|

Example...

1.Make articles about the company on ripoffreport and various other outlets that rank good.
2. Take screen captures with link attached to them displaying the negative reputation circulating.
3. Put it all in a nice packet and email it to them. Make sure to include statistics showing their potential loss.

4. Offer a package to help fix their problem. Since you are the original creator of such negativity it will be easy to get the content removed.

Lets see OP you lost $79 two times?

79+79=$158

Yep you could get this back. Do not just sit idle and do a charge back. Be proactive..;D

Haha, I see what you did there. Nice idea! This kind of very blackhat but could work because in the end no one is getting hurt.

So either way your saying **** them for sure?

Well, it would be like that... But sites like ripoff report have strict "never-take-down-policy" once it is in, it will be in forever.

Hello!

My name is Danielle, and I'm responsible for all of SpyFu's customer service. That we have not responded to or followed up on your e-mails is a grievous error on our part, and my own.

Unfortunately, I've been unable to PM you as I just signed up for this site, and I don't wish to violate the rules. However, I invite you to e-mail me personally, using my first name as the address, with your user information and I will make certain that we resolve any and all issues with your account.

Again, I am very sorry for any issues you have had with our service and hope I can set it to rights.

EDIT: Also, I am going to do a comprehensive sweep of our e-mails today and see what may have happened. I hope we will be able to rectify this for you quickly. You are also invited to contact us via Live Chat.

I'm sure you're not the only one that has been scammed, ripoffreport usually ranks on the first page

Don't forgot to write a SPYFU review so we all know the outcome, seems search marketing reviews are in great demand these days

We're continuing to look for any e-mails that may have been missed, but we cannot seem to find any that match up with what you have stated above.

Please, if you can clarify, you can contact us here at SpyFu anywhere you like; via phone, e-mail, my personal e-mail (using my name, danielle, as the prefix), Facebook, Twitter or Live Chat, and we'll be happy to help resolve this.

Thanks my friend for sincere suggestions. i love it.
I make a good living by ranking lots of big keywords for customers and running an internet marketing softwares firm. They feed me well so i dont need to use this chance. If i involve in REP management field, i will simply get all the ripoff profiles and offer them my services with bright promises. I can really get all of their data but i am not interested now.
And it's not so hard for me to rank on top for keywords related to spyfu, i am thinking about it after they charged me second times illegally. Not for money, just to get even after what they steal, which i think they did many times to many people.
Spyfu fucked wrong people, especially people here at BHW.
I used to respect them because they are one of the biggest keyword research sites on the net. I dont know why they risk their rep for such $158. It does not worth it.
