Has anyone been forced to shut down their eCommerce store due to copyright or anything of that matter?

Don’t sell anything you don’t have the rights to sell, simple.

Well I haven't done anything yet. Just being cautious.

I plan on dropshipping these -->

These are about products about nba basketball players so I was afraid I might get into issues with the nba if i get big enough.

I asked a question on quora if i could sell these products and most of them said the same thing, I will be sued. But I wanted to see if any of you guys have been sued or had any issues with selling copyrighted products.

Not mine, but my brothers'. He was raking in like 15k a month selling handmade toys - except that it is based on a famous cartoon. 1 year later, he received a C&D from the company and HostGator shut his website down, with no chance of saving any data backups whatsoever.

The worst thing are the customer who keeps sending him personal threats for items that did not deliver. Remember, even delivery details were removed. I don't think it's worth it unless you go for churn and burn sites.

As a kid I was forced to shut down my computer or I’d get grounded dear. It was very tough to survive in such rough conditions, but somehow I managed to pass this period of my life without any self harm.
Well, at least no physical harm :P

Sheesh that sucks. He made bank tho. Could he have gotten a license from that company?

Did they try to sue him? Or did they just shut it down and forget about it?

He found a rep of the company but he didn't pass it through the licensing department.

The thing about Cease & Desist is that they will only sue you if you fail to comply.

Hi there,
I had to close my store called "nordeo store" because nordeo is a bank ! I didn't know it but Shopify manually banned my shop, lol !
Nothing to really worry about, just need to set up a store with a different name. Be careful :)

You should ask the seller first if you can dropship thay product, also dont dropship branded product
