Has Anybody Benefitted From Penguin?

Hello Guys,

There is a lot of complaining on here about how people have lost their rankings and how their lives are basically gone to ruin due to aftermath of Googles penguin update.

I've in fact benefited from Penguin, has anybody else?

Just to live you the overview of my site:

Gets around 1k visitors per day, now i'm on 1,2k roughly
All unique content, all wrote myself, its not close to anything else out there.
all my link building has been done through traditional PR methods, social and good old guest blogging (i use myblogguest.com)
I haven't invested any money in link wheels, or any of these automated services, i'm glad i haven't time and money on them!
In terms on-site, it's quite well optimised, not drastically optimised but quite high, lots of key terms alternatives.

Has anybody else seen any benefits?

I benefit by channeling my negative energy towards Google.

Joking aside, some of my sites are affected, others gain ranking. Yet some others stay the same.

I'm focusing on other traffic sources and slow down my link building effort.

At last I got to learn about other traffic sources. That, I believe, is going to benefit me in the long run.

Penguin was just targeting selective sites that had un-natural backlinking done so the traditional WH tools and techniques paid off for some.

I was largely unaffected, but my sites are white hat with high quality and user-friendly content. We have to remember though that these algo changes will be refreshed monthly, apparently, so there is no guarantee we will continue to be unaffected! However, I firmly believe that if you spend time building a site properly with good content, don't go crazy with spam links all over the place and don't over-optimize your anchors that everything should be fine.

I've noticed no real changes after Penguin. Perhaps it is because I go 100% whitehat.

I haven't seen any change with my site but thats probably because i become very cautious with my link building campaign from last year after panda update.

1st site got slapped by penguin to page 4 for its main kw
2nd site now ranks #1 for 2 major keywords in a very hard niche ....and im getting around 2.5k UV /day

I am prolly one of the people that are actually happy penguin got released ...

1st site I work for actually benefited, we are getting all-time high in visits.
2nd site dropped, lost a few hundred visitors a day. But their are also many ways for that to get fixed.
