Wouldn't it be enough if we fake the referrer to a page witch got an actual link to the image?

I use the same kind of method but I use advanced cookie stuffing method. I mean, will they ever know using these img style?

you just use [lmg]http://tinyurl.com/imagehostinglink[/lmg]... no picture will be shown that's why it's hidden

This only works with images hosts that count the traffic via a crappy server side script. but if they use ajax or javascript includes or what not it won't work.

ermmm.. i think the admins of those forums reported to shareapic because obviously someone told them about the method, and serioussly, if one person blast 50 pics per post it's like loading 50 urls, that's alot, i bet the pages never finished loading. imagine 10 ppl are spamming the same forum, it's kind of alot. their bandwidth got jeopardised probably.

I dont know, it's just my experience of cookie stuffing..
