Say, you came to bhw at 4 o clock in the morning, saw a haf thread, and got an awesome client. He paid you 10x more than what you would normally get, and he also gave you recurring projects. That is luck. But still, you had to do the work, as well as be a jr vip in order to be eligible to receive the project/money. That’s giving yourself a chance to be lucky.

It's not only hard work, or being lucky, or having one bringing the other. It's also about working smart as someone previously stated, and using your brains.
You could be busting your ass off 20hrs a day and not seeing a glimpse of luck... You need to look for the right opportunities, and catch the right moment.
