Thanks again, you guys have many great ideas that have made me think more about my current setup. As far as bruteforcing that has also been a concern of mine especially with more tech savvy people and cheaper chips throwing down some serious power. I would think using a randomly generated character keyfile may be one of the better ways to go. Diskcryptor is looking nice as it actually allows you to boot up FDE with a randomly generated keyfile via usb whereas Truecrypt does not.

I wonder if a physically encrypted usb would work with the keyfile boot up that way if somebody tried to bruteforce the keyfile it would self destruct as mentioned in another post. Alternatively if the FDE boot up will work with a keyfile on a micro sd card with a usb dongle that could be a nice contender as well. If the keyfile on the micro needed to be destroyed quickly I think a round or two in a coffee grinder would do just fine.

Anybody have experience with tokens instead of typed passwords? I also got a copy of DriveCrypt so when I've messed with it some more will let you guys know how it works out...
