Yeah, It's Tamil New Year is being celebrated today, on Monday, April 14.

The festival holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for Tamil communities across the globe, especially in Tamil Nadu, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Unlike english new year, chinese new year.. This day symbolising new beginnings, hope, and prosperity.

Why people not giving importance to oldest language, but Giving more importance to English..

How old is English as a language? Approximately 1,400 years old

But, Tamil is estimated to be over 5000 years old with some evidence suggesting it could be even older. While the exact age is debated, the language has a long and documented history..

Happy Sinhala/Tamil New Year!

People celebrate, like, 3 days here, because on Saturday there was full moon also and then Sunday/Monday New Year. Tbh I heard some fireworks couple days before too.

Well, Here no Fire works.. but as usual celebrations like temple visit, new movie releases, special program in TV like that..

Happy sinhala Tamil New Year.. oh you in srilanka right ;).
