A big family where I turn up 3 months latre for my own B/day thread.
Thanks all. Just got back from Micronesia where I've been setting up some sub contract content creation teams (some for me - some for others on this forum).
If I go again next year I'll spread the word early to get some interest.
10 unique articles - with spintax embedded...$5 is where I am at the moment.
Given the average weekly wage there is $30 (for a 6 or 7 day working week) then paying these guys $15 a day means they are earning up to 3x more than most.
The hard bit is keeping them, and the PC's safe - and getting the logistics of all that set up. Frankly it's a fucking nightmare and not worth it unless you go BIG.
Buying PC's capable or running XP for $110 (including monitors), finding suitable space for these guiys to work, getting team leaders in place, working out communication routes and times (they are almost 12 hours off kilter there), handling pay, working out UK and international tax (and how to get around as much of it as you can), quality control (English is a second language to most) etc etc...
But in the end, having 20 guys, happy cause they are top earners and doing a decent job in a clean environment with little or no hassle is worth it..
Not selling anything here (no capacity left anyway) but may well go again Autumn (fall) 2012 and increase the size of the outfit.
