Legalize it and stop locking people up for a plant that has nearly 60,000 industrial and medical uses. I haven't smoked weed in years, don't plan on ever smoking it again (it acts as some kind of ESP dampener - you can feel this in your cerebellum, very frustrating) but I 100% support a person's right to ingest whatever they want.

It will be interesting to see the rise in mental illnesses.
You are assuming that legalisation will increase use and also assume that use of weed increases mental illness to the point it will be noticeable? Or you just trolling?

Either way happy stoner Christmas to all.

Yeah, I support that everyone should carry whatever he want

So, lets give everyone a gun, wait till the murder happens, then execute them!

Gr8 Logic

I'm assuming the usage will increase the more it becomes sociably acceptable yes. Like I stated in my original comment, it will be interesting to see the rise in mental illnesses.

Happy 4/20. Unfortunate coincidence that it's Hitler's birthday...

Preliminary studies from Colorado show that weed and alcohol use is generally exclusive - that means people tend to focus on either weed or alcohol, but not both. Whatever gets people drinking less (a big problem in my corner of the world) gets a thumbs up in my book.

Mickyfu's comments reminds me of when medical marijuana was legalised over here.

When medical marijuana was legalised here in California, there was both a rise in consumption and a rise in "metal illnesses" (but not in the way you think), especially in the Inland Empire area. A lot of people who were too scared to do it before now had access to it through friends and family who were "recommended marijuana" by their doctors (mostly middle-aged folks with pain problems). However, a lot of the emerging adults had been going to corrupt "medical professionals" in the area who would "diagnose" them with anxiety or whatever else they glanced at in the DSM-V just so the kids could get a medical marijuana card. I've even had a few friends and family members boast about how easily they procured a card.

I don't know about recreational use, though. It was legalised for recreational use here more recently, but I haven't read or heard anything about an increase in consumption. However, it doesn't really matter much to me.

I don't believe it's more addicting than nicotine or alcohol so it should be legalized. There may or may not be long term health issues, but alcohol and nicotine carry them too. Everyone should be free to consume this "light" drugs. Countries could even make some good money with taxes and stuff and reduce criminality.

I already read a dozen reports of german newspapers how ridiculous easy it is to get this medical marijuana in California. German law was loosened too, but I can't think about a way to get it here, it's really just for people who need it.

Wait...what? First of all, happy weedmas but I never said any of those things. I said for me, it personally blocks my energy sensitivity. That's all.

Zwielicht beat me to it

HAve you done any research? This is the most under educated opinion I have ever seen... Does mental illness cause one to jump to conclusions?

Yes I smoked it for 10+ years. Now go and educate me little school boy.

Cannabis causes mental illnesses, whether you like it or not, whether it suits your opinion or not. It is fact, however that does not suit your opinion. So you spew out some uneducated dross. Come back in ten years and tell me all about your life.
