    Hi,

I have been lurking on this site for a good few months now and have been trying to read up on all of the different ways to start making money.

For all "Noobs" like me I'm sure we share the same frustration of reading a thread and following a journey only to see the method lambasted by other users later on. It is very difficult to know who to trust and who to ignore.

    So quick question.

I am fully intent on doing some real investigation and trying methods for myself this year (Starting tonight) and was wondering if any users could point me in the direction that I would be best starting at.

I am in full time work, I have a wife who works weekends and brings up our son the rest of the time.

CPC, PPD, Facebook, eBay, blogging, YouTube, e-books.................

I will continue to investigate methods on my own and take that first stab in the dark, just looking for some advice.

All help appreciated but I could do without the mails stating the obvious - Just do it, try a method, follow a journey!!

    Cheers guys

    Thank you ATY1985.

This is exactly what I am looking for. I have previously subscribed to that thread, but by receiving your mail it will give me more confidence to follow it further and to give it a try.

    Thanks again

If you're in this for the long haul you need to think long term.

Create some sort of value and build a list.

Try to create a website about something you like and then monetize it.

Never created a website before, but if you think this is the best place to start then I will investigate how to do it.

In your opinion, this is the best way to start and to try and make some extra money?

I know it's difficult, but you have to forget the idea of 'making money' for now. Think about what you can offer other people that is of some value! Maybe something you enjoy doing, a hobby or something. Maybe you are interested in antiques or travelling. Always start with something that you enjoy, because not only do you already have the knowledge, but you will have the desire to carry on with it. If you don't have any interests then you can choose something and learn about it from other peoples advice, take it all in and then offer even better advise! It could be something as simple as an amazon product. Find one, learn everything about it and create a site around that product. Write a review, make it the best review there is online!.... Im waffling on now :tape:

The best thing I ever did was to offer something for free. This allowed me to build a list of people interested in the same topic. At the time I had the dilemma of charging for my service or giving it away for free. If I had charged for it then I would have made a quick buck! but thankfully I didn't, I offered the service for free, built trust with my members and then offered them a paid service further down the line....

This was 10 years ago and I still have that list and it is still making money!!!

IM is getting tougher because more and more people are getting involved, so to succeed you have to up your game!

Start out with a plan, offer something of value for free, help people out, work hard, and the 'making money' part will take care of it's self!!
