So I just took on a new client who had her website stolen. basically her previous host / designer was also a competitor in her field. She is a celebrity makeup artist.

Anyway, her website was deleted and she lost everything... Obviously upset...

I checked Google cache and for some reason no record of her website, and the domain was redirecting to her competitor...

So i dug a little deeper and found this cool site: http://web.archive.org

Does the same as google cache basically, but goes way back. I found a 2011 copy, 2012 and 2013 copy of her website.

Every thread I create gets gunned down by the mods / vips, so lets hope this one actually helps someone.

Umm, the wayback machine is live since like forever. Can't think of someone who is in IM and doesn't know this site.

Rep+ to the OP for posting information that might be useful to someone else. Also, ignore that arrogant douche. For the most part BHW is a positive, supportive community. Some people assume that because they know a little bit more than someone else, that somehow makes them "better", when instead it just makes them a bigger asshole.

This is still helpful info. I didn't even know about this one. For sure, a lot of beginners will find this useful.
