Hey everyone, I'm Stefan and I've been into marketing lately, been reading about copywriting and conversion rate optimization.

I'm thinking of getting into affiliate marketing, but I'm clueless as to where I should advertise, since big shots such as Adwords and FB don't like affiliate links.

But I'll find my way through :D

Stefan , have you gone through the section Affiliate Programs in making money section?
 
I went through the first page and found some affiliate systems I might try.
I was thinking of using Clickbank for start and see how that works out. For advertising I'd probably use FB ads and Bing ads, though I'll try FB ads first. I found a blog of some affiliate manager and he talks in depth about advertising websites(7search, prosper202, etc) so I'll go through that as well.
 
To get something in the affiliate marketing is not so easy these days. You should start by reading the tons of threads that are here and try to get it slowly, if you want to push some products feel free to contact me, I may have something for you
 
I know man :( the competition is awfully big. Besides, I see from the affiliate section on the forum that many of the websites with affiliate offers are either scam or they try their best not to pay you.

As far as I know, Clickbank is the most reliable system, though I'll try to find another one with less competition.
 
Indeed, Clickbank is very reliable but as well the most crowded one, hard to get products from them without having big competition. I would suggest to go for small and reliable affiliate programs and to try to protect yourself
 
How about peerfly? Are they any good? Maybe even Amazon, but not sure if I'm allowed to advertise books on Facebook. I'd find a way around their "no affiliate links" rule, but I don't know whether Amazon allows it.

I've been there actually, I have cousins in Banja Luka.
We're kind of neighbors, btw. I'm from Serbia. :)
