Alright, I'm so happy right now. I wanna get up and dance but I'll wake everyone up hahaha. You might have seen my thread last week about one of my sites plummeting in Google. Literally dropped 50-300 spots for ALL 50 keywords I was targeting. Pages were ranking for the wrong keywords. It was a big mess. I've had this site dance around before, but nothing like this.
So a couple hours ago, I checked rankings, still down. I was losing hope lol.
Just checked now, my site is back up for ALL keywords.
Okay, I don't want this to be a useless bragging thread, so I'll tell you guys what I did since last week..which is just about nothing haha.
I noticed I had a lot of crappy, useless pages indexed in Google (a lot of random Cpanel folders like wp-includes, etc..). So two nights ago, I fixed this, cleaned it up (fixed robots.txt file and request a directory removal through GWT). Honestly, I have NO idea if that's the reason why my site went downhill. I do know that all those crappy pages had been indexed about a week before my site went downhill. So it may very well have been because of that.
