I am looking for the creation of an online database to replace an Excel spreadsheet that works but is a bit glitchy.
The shreadsheet basically stores a list of clients along with their physical locations.
It also stores a list of sub-contractors (staff) along with their home address details.
We need to be able to pull clients and sub-contractors information from the above list and assign work time, hourly rate of pay and hourly charge rate.
The database will then calculate the round-trip travel time for the sub-contractor and the total rate of pay for the work time+travel time and then the profit.
This information can be added on a daily basis and then reports or views can be produced to show data for each week of each year.
I have a spreadsheet that does all of the above already so there is an easy guide to follow.
I assume that we might change the layout in the database, but all of the functions can behave in the same way.
The only additional requirement would be a login system because of course, security will be a greater concern with an online database.
