Had a root canal this morning

Didnt sleep good. There was an asshole with a huge drill downstairs drilling something. But i managed to fall asleep somehow.

But then a bunch of stupid kids gathered like under my balcony, screaming and playing. Woke me up. I closed all the windows and shutters and doors and everything.

But by now the anaesthetic wore off, and i was in pain. So i took a pill. These pain pills i have expired last year. But they still work, as luck would have it

Went back to sleep. Slept. Woke up. Did a bit of work or whatever. And now im just totally demotivated. Im having a bit of pain, tooth, ear, throat, on the right side where the root canal was done. Its not the type of pain where i need a doctor, its just that annoying kind. And i dont wanna take another pill. I only take pain pills if i absolutely must. Which is almost never. Thats why the ones i have are like 3-4 years old, and expired a year ago.

Anyway, so i cant do shit right now (unless i got paid thousands of dollars of course, then id do it haha). So all i can do is make this thread

No. I’m on very strong antibiotics and that’s barely helping with the infection. I have to go in next week to a new dentist/oral surgeon that has to clean up the other dentists joke of a procedure. I’ve been in tremendous pain on and off. Sometimes literally rolling on the floor.

I’ve gotten a break from the pain the last couple of days which I am thankful for. I’ve been able to build a bot that can be sold as a service potentially. So there is some good things happening at least.

What an awful experience.

Anyone that reads this, make sure you take great care of your dental health. It really will be important in your mid and late life.

Oh man. So sorry to hear about that.

It may not seem like it now, but dont worry, once its cleaned up nicely the pain will go away within a day. Its not something that drags on and on.

Make sure to have pain pills around. Im not sure if antibiotics help with the pain. They help for the infection ok, if you must. But do they help for the pain? If not, take some actual pain pills.

But then, im not sure if you can take pain pills at the same time youre taking antibiotics. I never took antibiotics, except after a nose surgery at 21. And i believe i cut that short too.

In any case, stay strong, it will pass soon

They aren’t prescribing pain pills for dental reasons in the states anymore. Pharma got sued. So that’s not really a possibility unless you’ve been shot or something anymore. Just OD on OTC meds. You know. Lol

They're not? Why not? Over here I just go to the pharmacy and get me a box of pain pills.

That's crazy. So if you're in horrible pain due to a toothache for example, you can't alleviate that pain with a pain pill? That's crazy.

I mean, come on. You can't even get some sort of half-strength pain pills?

A lawsuit in the US doesn't mean anything. In the US you can slip on a banana peel in front of someone's house, sue the house owner, the banana company, and God for making bananas. And you might win too. So now we outlaw bananas? A lawsuit in the US is just a money business in a lot of cases. Something to create useless jobs for lawyers and judges, and to torture people.

Anyway that's crazy. A guy can't get a pain pill. I've had toothaches that without pain pills, I'd have suffered tremendously.

Eh, another reason not to live in the US, along with their "we tax you on your worldwide income and you can't escape it" crap.

Anyway, stay strong dude. Take a nail and a hammer, and hammer the nail through your hand. This way you'll make the pain also in hour hand, and you won't feel it as much in your tooth. Like, you'll spread the pain around (I'm kidding, don't do it. And don't sue me for telling you to do it lol)
