Hacker (Mitchell Frost) Gets 3 Years For Defacing Web Sites

Gotta give him kudos for nailing the O'Reilly site. O'Reilly is just an irritation and waste of beathing air. Now if he would have hit the Bush Junior's site and found out where the f*** all our tax dollars went while he was sitting in the president's seat, I'd happily fund his attorney fees. :D

DDOS attacks are not fun, only you will know that you ddosed this website, but when you deface you put your initials on it and that's fun, becouse everyone who is into hacking knows your Nickname and in this case they know that you did this and they respect you for this!

Yup.

If you get caught. Your hacking is not any good now is it.

The people who show up as hackers are mostly script kiddies using metaspoit, backtrack or other vulnerability testers and with scripts someone else made and doing it with some tutorials on the web.

mitnick was a true hacker. but... he got lazy and made mistakes.
 
Man that dude who hacked Sarah Palin Gmail account got 1 year in fed prison.

The thing is he didnt really hack it, he only guessed the security questions to her account

No he didn't. He only went to jail because he told companies about their vulnerabilities and how to fix them and they ratted him out. Big corporations don't like to admit mistakes and they used him as a scapegoat. His only mistake was his good-heartedness.
