So I've had a major hack which includes the Japanese SEO hack, but also a whole set of other behaviours. The thing is, the inserted files are literally in every single folder in my Cpanel database. Every website, every subfolder, everything.
Where do I start??
My hosting company is not being particularly helpful and although they restored access to some of my sites, they haven't actually dealt with the underlying issues at all. The dodgy .php files, index files etc remail all through my folders.

I'm not particularly tech savvy so I don't know how to fix it. I've tried employing a service but they won't deal with it at cpanel level and insist on just fixing it site by site (which is not going to be cost effective as there are more than a dozen sites).

The hack seems to have come in through a wordpress site I purchased recently which I hadn't updated the plugins for arghhhhhhhhhhh

They hacked the whole server account. Someone they rooted the server and did a whole system attack. Move from that hosting company. Period.

If you are not tech savvy, the easiest thing to do is restore the website from backup.

Where you from purchas this site .. im facing same problem

Try to ask them if there is any backup from the last 6 months or year and start from there, is this the first time that something like this happend? if you are having a lot of security problems will be better to change hosting maybe they are the ones with the security problems

Yeah you need to move to another host, something does not "feel right" with them but if you don't have the money you can try some fiverr guys to help you clean the mess
