"HaCKeD By Darkness DeviL" WTF?

I was doing my AMR blasts and checked several of the successful submissions on "Article Dashboard" when I found that the website has been "HaCKeD By Darkness DeviL".

I googled it to find out that Darkness Devil is hacking mainly article sites (try it for yourself). :y:

There are thousands of losers like that.
Upgrade your wordpress to newest version.
Sometimes the whole host gets hacked from someone else's vulnerability.
I usually get one or two a month on one of my 250 sites.
 
just keep updating your WP. its bound to happen with all the kids out there nowadays.
 
Some fucking loser that instead of using his talents to make money, uses his talents to see "Hacked by some douche" on a website. Way to go buddy lol.
 
I have also got hacked by them and i had the latest wp version
 
Make sure you don't have a c99 shell in their either, or a r57 shell. Also check all of the PHP files on there and replace them with the originals if you can. Also, check the JS files too.
 
It'd also be a good idea to install Secure WP and BulletProof Security plugins.

Most of these skiddies only know how to SQL inject some code. They think they are cool, and then when they actually try to prove their skill get a good ol knock on the door from the feds. As a hacked site owner you will be given two choices - Forget em, or track em.

Protips- Truly keep your CMS updated and use a securing plugin.
 
It's true, I googled it and Darkness devil is infact a hacker :eek:

This is Insane!! I thought hackers were just a myth :rolleyes:

What about hacking a wp and putting in your ads in it for some time ;-)
 
I spend far too much of my time these days cleaning up hacked Wordpress sites for friends.

I have a lot of respect for the hackers that find vulnerabilities and inform vendors about them, but defacers and script kiddies are another matter. Why destroy stuff other people made, and why show off when all you did was copy someone elses code or run someone else's tools?

If it will be adsense and if anyone will do that with any of my sites, I won't remove the ads, I will make sure that his account will be banned.

I get phishing attempts on my craigslist accounts. The spoofed craigslist verification page is a secondary page on a legitmate site. Either the webmaster is using a legit site to phish for craigslist accounts, or some "hacker" has created the page with scripts to email the phished information home.

There's one reason why a "hacker" might want to know about your site's vulnerabilities. In fact, a good hacker might install some good security plugins and updates to protect his activities from other hackers.

I sent an email to the site, informing them that their site is being used to phish for CL and I got no response. Maybe the hacker is intercepting their emails, also.
