Hey everyone my account was hacked and deleted there is a guy on Instagram who said he can recover it for 50 dollars. His method is

This is from the DM.
This is how disabled account get recovered


With your username I crack into your account database with my python script and lunch the (SSX)XPZ15690 to reactivate your account then I lunch the #john the ripper# which is a password cracker to run your confirmation codes that would be sent too your email address

is this legit? Anyone ever try it?

I'm sure he wants to scam you
The same guy that wants to crack it is the same guy that hacked it from my experience
Have you tried recovery

Impossible, if he have the skill to hack instagram database.
he won't do it for $50..

Wow John the ripper software. Haven't heard that for a long time.

And yeah definitely a scam, you're guy just looked up a bunch of big words lol.

If all you needed was a username and an opensource python program to hack into any username, Instagram would be a nightmare.

thank you everyone. I figure it was a scam.

I been trying the recovery method for 5 days already contacting Instagram but no luck so far. This sucks! I had 30k followers all genuine for my wildlife photography account.

Why would you advertise any @name at your OP? Now someone can contact that guy and get scammed?

i think by posting the information it can further help from anyone getting scammed.

do you know any administrators there that could possibly help? I just been going through the insta app to submit my help ticket

He can get reward more than 500k from instagram for pointing their bug, why he will do it for you $50?

People of BHW don't read entire threads, and someone might contact him.

Your account is too fresh, you could be that guy. You explained what he told you, no need to tag him.


If you want to tag someone, proper way is to at least add screenshots of your conversation, that's just how I see it.

This thread will remain uncleared, you will leave, everyone will leave, and later in 1-2 months someone might come, take a look and go for that guy, since this issue is often.

I know a guy who can unban you from Instagram and you only pay him after you're unbanned.
