eCommerce site ..... typically, Meta
and Meta
are automatically installed by engine so all products have those necessary attributes.

1. Is it good practice to include
etc headers in the product description ... or not necessary, even spammy?

2. Is it good practice to include links to home page, or category page inside the
headers in the product description ... or not necessary, even spammy?

examples 1 & 2

e.g.
Blue Widget with Large thingy on top
(obviously limited to around 60 characters)

Wonderful Blue Widget that includes a special thingy on the top of it

..... blah blah blah balance of description as entered in the product page

or

that includes a special thingy on the top of it

..... blah blah blah balance of description as entered in the product page

cheers, Mike

I think it's still a good practice. This tells the Google bots that you've taken the time to format your content. It also makes it easy to read and the last update proved that user experience is of the utmost importance to Google rankings.
