Anyone use them?
Are they any good for this kind of thing (Self employed/Affiliate Income/Freelance Income/Paypal)?
Or would it be better to find a private accountant?

I would not suggest using H & R block. my friend used them (she had multiple 1099s as she does cpa marketing). they told her that even though all the 1099s were issued to HER name that she had to file each 1099 as a different company and then charged her $40 for each 1099 that she had. Thats the biggest rip off I have ever seen. If I have 10 1099s and they are all issued to MY PERSONAL NAME, then all the income is taxed to me as 1 total amount. I do not have 10 of me working for 10 companies.

Granted each situation is different, but if you want some help, pm me.

You get what you pay for. Get a private CPA and ask them how they can save you on taxes. They should more than pay for themselves.

Get an independent. Ask for a free review of last years taxes as well to see if they can save you any money by filing an amended return.

Not only does H&R overcharge but they won't give you some legit deductions that sometimes trigger audits in order to keep their audit numbers down as their mistakes are pointed out during an audit in front of the customers, bad for their biz! They bite!

edit- ohhhhh, just got a second blue diamond, ok that's a post count thing, always wondered, duh.
