GWT Message : THIN CONTENT, What must be done?

The best thing to do would be to forget about the site and set up a new one with multiple pages and better authority.

Have 6 pages... basically this is just a landing page, which has 2k words in total. An index, contact, about, faq, page1, page2... thats all...

Agree with ^. Unless you've put a ton of time/effort/money into this site (which is unlikely considering the penalty), you're much better off starting from scratch. Look on the bright side; now you know what NOT to do
spent months to rank this one, everyday backlinking and yet penalized with thin content, totally dumb of me....

Don't worry OP.
Put some more content on your site and you will see the penalty removed once you apply for reconsideration.
Those advising to shut the site down obviously don't know what the penalty is all about. This is a thin content penalty and can easily be solved by putting more content.

I would say the same, although any website is a personal investment, you tend to get attached to it
I don`t know, if you ask Google what`s the matter, would they bother to explain it?

This kinda advice pisses me off. A thin-content penalty is the EASIEST to overcome of all of the penalties.
Add MORE content and make your site MORE relevant, apply for reconsideration request.
Unless you are complete idiot it's simple to get out of a thin-content penalty.
Absolute bollocks.
OP, re-write what you already have and expand on it.
Then write more for your site, more articles or even just add different aspects of what you already have. If your site is about bricks then talk about different colours of bricks, different styles, sizes. About how different bricks are used to portray a certain period in time etc.
More information, more content.
Cut back on the affiliate links especially if they all point to the same place.
I had a thin content penalty and had a good writer re-write my whole site and then I added a few more bits, threw in a re-consideration and the penalty was lifted.
It can be sorted out, you just need to put in the work.

I had this before on one of my sites. What I did was just add more content after that I just did a reconsideration something and waited a week or two and boom back on google.
