Let me give you an example:
My agency spent over $1MM on ads with TikTok this year so I'm assigned an account manager / representative who works at TikTok. He shares information, processes verifications, answers questions, and generally makes sure that I'm happy. I'm able to submit requests to him and he's able to advocate on my behalf with the verifications team.

I believe that for smaller agencies (still with substantial spend), there may be a form on the agency dashboard (similar to Facebook) but I've never personally used it as going via my account manager works much better.

The point I'm making is, unless you're an agency with significant ad spend, you'll need to find someone to submit on your behalf. Exactly the same as Instagram verification via the Media Partner Portal.

Hey @Putt I created an account just to say thank you for this (and start to use this site with all this info!) I am verified myself and have been working with others to try to get them verified on TikTok so this has brought a lot of clarity on the requirements. I will be following your other posts as well, your insights on the algorithm are also extremely useful.

I’m verified on Instagram and Facebook. Is this useful to get the TikTok verification? Does that reduce the price? Price in USD?

As always, yes. They have started to relax the requirements for me as I've started to spend substantially more on ads. Obviously, you still need to be 'relevant' and have the necessary contact.

If you own a Nokia or can source one,you can add the icon by your username and show as verified. Search on TikTok as there’s a guy on there with a video showing you how to do it ;)

@Putt Since you have access to an actual tiktok representative is it easier for you to recover accounts? Just curious. The customer support has been a bummer with tiktok.

Yes. Different regions work differently and I am technically 'managed' by 2 different regions but my general understanding is that there are some accounts that have access to client support and can therefore make 'requests' and then above that are formally managed accounts. For example, I have an actual contract with TikTok and have 3 or 4 different account representatives who take care of different needs and requests.

But as a general rule of thumb, yes people with direct access to account managers should be able to recover accounts.

Gotcha, I see. Damn, so the only way to get in direct touch is to become big. Would you be able recover an account thats outside of the accounts you manage jurisdiction? If you're willing to help that is, I can't DM you, but you're the only person I see that has access to an actual tiktik representative. My GF got kicked out of the app while applying to the creator fund (she meets the requirements) and now can't remember the password/email used. IG is linked tho and we have proof of that.

If you can help me out here would be much appreciated. Trying everything. Linkedin employees seem to be a dead end as well. and we've been waiting for a week now for any sort of response. @Putt

One of the big things generally to remember with TikTok is, even internally, a lot of their processes are a total mess. The company is relatively opaque with its procedures and there are very few policies as to who is eligible for what and what certain accounts have access to. For example, in one region they complain if I submit too many requests in a month whereas in another (with around the same ad spend), they'll happily co-pitch to my clients.

To answer your questions directly, yes I and most other 'fully managed' accounts should be able to recover worldwide. I'm 99% sure I'd be happy to do it for free but to be on the safe side, you should post a HAF thread so everything is kosher with BHW rules.
