Yup, but they're free and pretty plentiful. I don't, and you shouldn't, care about wasting a free resource as much as a paid one.

Ok, I understand but I think about using both of them (public and private) to scrape Google. If proxies are banned only for few hours it will be ok for me. One day I scrape, the other day I comment.
Your proxies can get permanently banned from Google. I wouldn't do that, but it's your choice, you'll then be paying monthly for private proxies which cannot be used with Google.
I do not use private proxies anymore. It's just about how to post without leaving a large footprint.
For scraping I use every day fresh harvested public proxies. I don't know why, but at the moment I get about 1000 working proxies from my source list. Some weeks ago there have been days where I got 30 working proxies from the same list. Maybe the scrapebox guys changed something at the proxy harvester.
Anayway, when it comes to post to fresh harvested lists I use the "SPLIT" function of scrapebox. So it is guaranteed that I post to each domain only once. Also I use a random fake URL and random names for those posts. When Posting is finished I change my IP and check the whole list for stiky posts. I repeat this 3 or 4 times with a new list, then I should have filterd out about 90% of the working domains. After that I harvest everything from the working domains I've found.
