Just thought I'd drop in here to give you guys some encouragement.
It took me a while to get everything setup, but I finally did it and have been running with this method for the last 24 hours. It is working decently well so far. I have a bunch of conversions already and I've only started posting with 3 profiles.
So the good news is that this is still working in 2016.
Here are some tips for you:
1. Buy domains, name them convincingly, make your landing pages look professional (I use LeadPages) and find a good affiliate network (I use Clickdealer).
2. Use smart links to split-test. I use HasOffers Ad Manager to add a bunch of offers to a campaign that generates a smart link that randomly sends the user to one of the offers. Its a good way to see what works and what doesn't.
3. Spend time on every Facebook profile and be PATIENT. Don't join/post in tons of groups a day (I'm being even more conservative than the author of the original guide).
4. Choose your niche carefully and don't bother with saturated geos. USA is highly saturated with this type of advertising for example.
5. Keep MassPlanner neat. This is more foresight than anything else. When you expand to over 50 profiles I can imagine stuff getting very messy. Don't join the same groups on multiple accounts, use the tags to organise your profiles and keep basic notes on every profile (login, email, proxy etc.)
That's about it! I'm not making stupid amounts of money yet but its a free plug into the biggest traffic source on earth so why the hell not? Its not my main source of revenue anyway but is worth it if for the extra pocket-money.
Have fun guys and feel free to drop me a PM with your Skype if you want any help or advice (I can't PM yet).
Also, thank you so much to the OP and to the board as a whole for offering a different perspective on things and opening up new possibilities in this wild jungle of an industry.
