[Guide] Making the most of internal link building

I doubt that the algorithm is that simplistic - push your thought towards UX over algo and you'll get the idea.
 
Are these pages important? If they are not then this might do more harm than good
They are important keywords for my site. They are sitting on the second page of Google for various keywords. I currently have just one post that makes like 90% of organic traffic so I want more traffic and more ranking pages/posts.

Then sure go ahead but I will also consider adding some contextual internal links from other posts to really boost these pages.

I use bitly on my nav links + nofollow which seems to achieve a similar end. Read it on here somewhere a while ago and have been using it since.
