Any ideas how you'd go about doing all that with an adult site? What would you use from your diagram, and what wouldn't you? Granted, a lot of sites don't allow adult content.

Redirects. Make the links to one site, wait a while, 301 the site to your target. Spam the links you built so they get recrawled. As for getting your anchors... find AA sites for your anchors, use generics for the others since you should have more than 20-30% target anchor anyway.

This is exactly what I was looking for.. Im new to SEO but since the last 4 or 5 months I am learning SEO every single day and i literally mean everyday.. My website has tough kws to rank for and when i started off i used a BHW service to rank my site.. after that I stopped with the link building and tried to understand the game better.. I did Lynda's and Market Motive's SEO courses. I would recommend them to all awesome courses for newbies!! and even for pros.. you can still learn alot from them..

Anyways now i know what i have to do and since then I have been manually link-building.. Currently on the 18th page google for one of my kw... i know it is nothing but i am still working on it.. trying to get to the 1st page.. and i guess this is what i need =D .. i have a few ideas and twists to make in this which i have learned from my experience so far.. will leave a review as soon as i see any SERP improvements.

Yes it is,because diversity is one of the main concerns in 2013 Seo.
You should adjust the anchor texts ration if you have a new site.
